How it works

Search, message, and hire top law talent — before OCI opens.

LSD Recruiting gives your firm a working pipeline: search staff-reviewed candidates, message them directly, and track every stage in one place. Here's how it fits together.

Step 02 · Messages

Reach out directly — months before OCI

Message candidates from a shared firm inbox. Every thread carries the candidate's profile alongside it — grades, market preferences, practice interests, and documents — so your team always has context to hand.

Where candidates come from

Students opt in — and every profile is staff-reviewed

These are the candidates who chose LSD to run their admissions cycle. Listing is free for students, one toggle controls whether they appear in firm search, and LSD staff review every resume, transcript, and writing sample before it's listed.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Pricing is scoped to your firm's hiring goals on a short call — no self-serve tiers. Initial partners get unlimited candidate connections. Book a demo or contact sales@lsd.law to talk terms.

We already run OCI — why add this?

OCI still works; it's just late, compressed, and limited to the schools you visit. LSD is for the window before it: build relationships with 0Ls and 1Ls before your competitors meet them, and reach top-of-class candidates at schools outside your OCI footprint — without adding another campus visit.

Can other firms see our activity?

No. Searches, saved candidates, notes, and conversations are visible only to seats at your firm. Candidates hear from you when you message them — other firms never see your pipeline.

What makes the admissions data valuable?

Candidates on LSD ran their admissions cycle here, so profiles carry signals a resume can't: where else a candidate was admitted, how their numbers compare, and how well their history fits your market. Combined with GPA and LSAT, that's real context for assessing caliber — especially for 0Ls and 1Ls with thin law-school records.

How are students reviewed?

Every listed profile is reviewed by LSD staff before it appears in search. Students submit supporting documents — a transcript for current law students, or proof of admission for incoming students — and our team reviews the complete profile before listing. You can still request official transcripts and references during interviews.

What is the typical recruiting timeline?

The platform provides year-round access. Activity typically increases in spring semester (March–June) as students complete first-year grades and begin seeking summer positions — well before OCI opens.

Is the platform free for students?

Yes. All students — admitted and enrolled — can create profiles and receive opportunities at no cost. The platform is funded entirely by law firms.
